Washington Heights Happy Hours

Washington Heights Happy Hours

Looking for some Washington Heights happy hours? There are a ton of great drinking spots in Upper Manhattan, but here are four I wholeheartedly recommend!

Marcha Cocina

4055 Broadway

Washington Heights Happy Hours

Washington Heights Happy Hours

This tapas bar and restaurant has a happy hour on weekdays from 3-8pm. All kinds of delicious margaritas for just $6, $4.50 sangrias, and $3.50 draft beers!  Rated by Thrillist as the # 1 happy hour in Washington Heights. Marcha is also noteworthy for their popular uptown brunch!

Kazza Wine Bar

708 West 177th Street

Kazza Wine Bar serves 30 different types of wine, plus wine cocktails, over a dozen beers and awesome food (try the flatbreads). Their happy hour is every day from 4-8PM, with $2 off sangrias, selected wines and beer.

The ambiance is small and cozy and staff are super friendly. They’re also knowledgeable about their wines, with each listed as either Good, Better, or Best (and high grades are not always parallel with high prices!).

They’re open until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights and until midnight every other night.

Bar 180

4241 Broadway

Happy hour at this beer lovers haven is every day from 1 – 8pm. Bar 180’s happy hour includes $2 off all beers and wines, and $5 house drinks and sangria.

Bar 180 has 20 rotating drafts, which currently include Founders Dirty Bastard, a Scotch ale with a whopping 8.5% ABV, and Einstok Icelandic Arctic Pale Ale, a pale ale from Iceland brewed with three kinds of hops.

They also have an impressive bottle selection, including Gulden Draak Triple Ale, a 10.5% ABV Dark Triple Ale brewed with caramel malt and re-fermented with Bordeaux wine yeast.

Pocion Lounge

704 West 177th Street

Happy hour at Pocion Lounge is Monday through Friday, 5-8pm.

For $5:  draft beer, wine, sangria, whiskey & tequila shots.

For $6: daiquiris, margaritas.

Pocion is the only vegan bar and lounge in Washington Heights.  Vegan or not, the thought of drinking and being healthy at the same time is one I’d like to hold onto.

They’re motto is hand-crafted cocktails with medicinal properties.  Their popular “Pocion Sangria” is made with tempranillo, Dominican rum, guanabana-lime-guava-passion fruit juice, aloe vera, chia seeds and blueberries.

They also offer a gluten-free vodka and organic gin!
